The IB program technically starts junior and senior year of highschool. Incoming freshmen
must apply for the IB program and if accepted must participate in the pre-IB program. The pre-IB program is taken during freshmen
and sophomore year. It is designed to prepare students for the IB diploma program (starting junior year). Student's success
in the Pre-IB program will determine their status in the IB program for their junior and senior year.
Pre-IB is open to freshmen who meet the following criteria:
- Stanine of 7 (70th percentile) or above on standardized achievement tests in reading and math.
- Above-average academic permormances in all major subjects
- Excellent attendance
- Two reccomendations from teachers and Principal
- Completion of Written application
- A student-parent interview
If you meet all of the requirements and would like to apply for the IB program
at Curie you must fill out a Curie application (there will be a section to choose the IB program) and submit it by the deadline.
